The Training and development & Placement Department of the institute handle all aspects of training development and placements of the students. Right from contacting hospitals to managing all logistics of arranging for tests, pre-placement interviews, the Training development & Placement Cell officials and volunteers provide their best possible assistance to the recruiters. An exposure to a good work culture in the beginning of the student’s professional life guarantees success in all their endeavors.
The broad objectives of training & development Cell are as follows:
VIVEKANANDA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL WORK AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (VISWASS) SCHOOL AND COLLEGE OF NURSING has been honest for facilitation its students with placement opportunities by means of organizing In-Campus during their final year. In order to make the students ready for corporate sector, our Training & Development Dept (T&D Dept) has been working with full enthusiasm and spirit.
However it is mandatory on the part of the students to meet the minimum criterion that enable the institute to render them placement opportunities. A student must agree to abide by the guideline laid down below and put his/her signature as a token of acceptance failing which he/she will no provided such facilities. A student is free not to avail the facilities provided if he/she does not ac the terms laid down.
All the students desiring campus placement must submit the following documents to the Training & Development Dept (T&D Dept): Updated CV; 3 PP size photographs; PAN card; Aadhar Card; bank details where address must be mentioned, etc.

2. HOSPITAL DETAILS VERIFICATION
It is mandatory on the part of the students to go through the information available in the website of the Hospital well in advance and also gather relevant information about the hospital. This apart student should get all of their queries cleared at the time of Pre Placement Talk (PPT) and during interview as well. Students have to give their consent to participate in the campus drive on his or her own risk. College shall not be held responsible at a later part. if the hospital or the campus drive turns out be something other than that was expected in a trustworthy manner. Under such circumstances student(s) will not be entitled for any compensation.
3.CONSENT FOR PARTICIPATING
Students who accept the terms laid down herein, should give their consent by submitting undertaking to participate in the campus drive before attending the interview process. Once a student attends t interview and gets selected he/she has to accept the offer letter and pay the Facilitation charges (if any) as decided by the college and sign in another undertaking.
4. NUMBER OF CHANCES
A student who is finally selected, by a corporate hospital during the recruitment drive he/she should not be given another chance in the subsequent drives.
5. BACKLOG ISSUE
As a matter of policy college will not allow any student with back log to appear the campus drive. However students on their own will and risk can appear the interview. After selection in the campus drive the student and the hospital have to mutually decide the course of action in this regard. College will neither intervene nor discuss with the hospital regarding the back papers and related issues.
6. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Students should take note that corporate world is different from the environment at home. Once joined in the hospital, the hospital will entrust several types of work and the working hour may vary erratically. So students must mentally mould themselves to face such situations as college cannot advise any hospital on how to engage its candidates.
Students are also informed that location of the hospital may be anywhere not necessarily in urban areas. Besides utility items like food, water, accommodation etc may be expensive. So students must make up their mind to face such situations.
7. HOSPITAL FOR APPOINTMENT OF THE STUDENT
The responsibility of the college will cease, the moment the hospital hands over the offer letter to the students. It is imperative that, offer letter will only be issued to students who clears the college dues and facilitation charges. It is mandatory for the student to work minimum one year after their registration.
8. UPDATING C.V.
Students should submit all the basic data required by the T&D Cell and should regularly update their CVs informing the T&D Cell. Any change/modification must be duly conveyed T&D cell will not be responsible for any omission or error in the CVs. Any change in their contact number, email ID should also be immediately informed.
9. BEING INFORMED
Students should sincerely respond to the SMS/e-mail/letters sent by the T&D Dept .and regularly through the Notice Boards. College shall not be held responsible for their ignorance of a information.
10. DISCIPLINE & ETIQUETTES
Students should follow the dress code, interview etiquettes during the interview. They should also possess good character and no disciplinary action should have been taken against them during their tenure at VISWASS.
11. ATTENDANCE
A student should attend at least 80% theory classes, 100% clinical posting and must submit valid reasons with documentary evidence for the 20% of absence.
12. SOFT SKILL CLASSES
Students must also attend 90% of the Pre-Placement Training; Personality Development Programs Soft Skill classes etc being organized by Training & Development Dept (T&D Dept).
13. SPECIAL PROGRAMMES
Students should attend any other special programs/classes arranged for them by the institute.
14. INTERNAL EXAM
Students must appear in all the internal exams conducted as per INC norms.
15. PROJECTS
Students should undertake and complete research project as needed by INC. students should submit final thesis before appearing for campus drive
